My Role

As IT owner, I was accountable for successful project delivery, including the end-to-end design of technology solutions and an on-time/on-budget delivery.

 

Objectives

  1. Deliver a shoppable WeChat permanent store site that meets local client expectations.

  2. Integrate permanent store operations into existing digital services in China.

  3. Establish ongoing capabilities to deliver continuous enhancements.

 

Challenges

  1. Identifying local vendor partners with modern technical architecture and best-practice methodologies

  2. Establishing headless commerce capabilities, allowing continuous experience enhancement by local WeChat vendor and stable integration with company-owned OMS and distribution

 

Scope

  • Assortment planning, site merchandising, eCommerce inventory management

  • Integration to local WeChat vendor, product browse and navigation, account management, checkout, local payment tenders, live chat, SMS & WeChat notifications

  • Sales order management, live chat, returns authorization

  • Customer fulfillment integration, returns processing

  • Local payment processing, financial posting, reporting, eTax integration

  • Integration with existing digital ecosystem in China
